Let’s dive right in to ten of the biggest 2025 travel trends.

Culinary Travel

Oyster Farm Tour: DK Connemara Oyster Farm: Letterfrack, Ireland
  • First, This 2025 travel trend we are very familiar with at Road and Table. Also, as a travel agency, we specialize in culinary travel. You can check out some of our suggestions and read posts on the blog about our culinary experiences. Picking destinations based on what they offer in the culinary department is hot right now. Imagine traveling for food markets, farm to table restaurant experiences, and food tours. Furthermore, these experiences are guiding travelers to pick destinations that offer something special for their palate. Think about traveling to Belfast, Ireland for St. George’s Market. Visit Boston, Massachusetts for Quincy Market. Explore Galway, Ireland for the farmers market. Experience Barcelona, Spain for the La Boqueria market. Culinary travel also includes jetsetting to vineyards, breweries and distilleries all around the world. Or check out the culinary experiences that Viator has to offer.

Off The Beaten Track Vacations

Medina River, Texas
  • In reality, I am always getting “lost” on vacation. Finding hidden gems and the roads less traveled down is not slowing down anytime soon. Traveling to smaller cities is becoming popular in 2025. Countryside villages are also preferred over the “must-see” destinations. Road and Table travel agency loves this trend. Rent that car and stay off the highway! Explore places like the Medina River in Texas or discover hidden gems in Ireland. Road and Table offers tailor-made itineraries. They help our clients discover the roads less traveled at their own pace. We lay out all the details and guidance to make it happen.

Custom Self Guided Pre-Packaged Vacations

  • Speaking of tailor-made itineraries this hot 2025 travel trend provides travelers with meticulously crafted itineraries. It also includes all reservations, tickets, and more for experiences. The pre-packaged vacations are designed to offer hidden gems, culinary delights, and immersive experiences. This also includes booking hotels that offer packages along with their bookings. Think about a romance package provided by one of my favorite resorts. At the Cliff House Maine, you can book a 3 night stay. This includes a 50 minute spa treatment for two. Breakfast for two is also part of the package. Head over to my Instagram and check out my reel to see what the Cliff House offers.

Boutique All Inclusives

  • Although, traditional all-inclusives like Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana and Windjammer Landing St. Lucia are still giving us all the goods in 2025. However, boutique all-inclusives like Sirenian Bay Resort & Villas Belize and Hermitage Bay Antigua are having their time in the sun right now. Boutique all-inclusives are small independent properties that offer a more personalized experience. They don’t just offer the cookie-cutter experience that you get at traditional all-inclusives. Expect a more immersive cultural experience, slower pace, remote destinations and exquisite culinary adventures. If you are interested, Road and Table Travel Agency can help you. Hotels Offering Unique Experiences or Collaborations

  • As a matter of fact, this might be one of my personal favorites on the list for 2025 travel trends. These hotels offer unique experiences and amenities. They are not just a place to lay your head at night; the hotel is part of the destination. Many of these types of hotels partner with brands and collaborate to offer a leveled-up experience. The Marriott Long Wharf partnered with Titanic: Artifact Exhibit and Boston Vintage Society. Together, they created for a limited time The Titanic Presidential Suite. Likewise, The Weekapaug Inn offers a naturalist to lead stargazing. Also, Guests can also enjoy biking and bird watching. They have a borrowing closet that offers Hunter brand boots and outerwear to their travelers. Also, there’s the Ashford Castle in Mayo, Ireland. Moreover, Road and Table Travel Agency specializes in Ireland so this hotel is a hot one our list. Imagine strolling thorough the castles kitchen gardens on a guided walk. You can give clay shooting your best shot. Even better, you can take a morning walk with the Castle’s very own Irish Wolfhounds. Also joining the walk is their Irish Red & White Setter.

Literature Travel

  • Furthermore, book lovers are rejoicing over this 2025 travel trend. Travel-inspired book clubs are making themselves known online. You can join Road and Table’s Wanderlust Reads, a travel-inspired online book club. You will find a book of the month to read, along with travel/food content based on inspiration from the book. Travel inspired by literary experiences on the top seller’s list. Jetset off to London to explore the Charles Dickens Museum or tour places where Sherlock Holmes visited. Don’t forget, Paris, the backdrop of Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Grab a croissant and a coffee and stroll the endless number of bookstores through out the city.

Natural Phenomena Adventures

Natural Phenomena Adventures
  • To clarify, the definition of natural phenomena refers to physical events that are not artificial or man-made. They are events that occur in our atmosphere, on or underneath the ground, or in our seas and oceans. Pack your adventure bags and explore natural events that are going wild on the 2025 travel trends list. Some of these spectacular events include the Monarch Butterfly migration in San Diego, the Serengeti Migration, and the Northern Lights. The Northern Lights are probably the most popular. Get lost in Great Smoky Mountains. Let the Fireflies be your guide. Stroll through the tulip fields in Holland. The options with this 2025 travel trend are endless.

Micro-Vacations

  • While most of us imagine travel to be an extended adventure. Let’s start to chat about the micro-cation! The 24-72 hour quick getaway has returned. It’s ready to make its mark with the 2025 travel trends. Here in the US, explore New England. Take road trips that are within a 4 to 5 hour drive. Grab a quick flight on the East Coast and visit Savannah, Georgia, or Charleston, South Carolina.

Cool Vacations

  • Additionally, 2025 travel trends are anything but frosty. Swap your bathing suits for sweaters and cozy jackets. Add destinations like Iceland, Finland, and Canada to your travel calendar. One of my favorite romantic vacations is Old Quebec City in late February or early March. The snow-covered streets and warm, cozy fires have me dreaming about going back as soon as possible. Curious about a cool vacation check out our blog post on Old Quebec City. I’m sure once you read it you will be adding it to your list.

Athletic Adventures

  • Athletic adventures are off to the races for 2025 travel trends. Get on the horse and book your next travel adventure in a city hosting a sporting event. Kentucky Derby, of course, is on many travelers’ bucket lists. Also, consider soccer/football games in Spain. Score a touchdown by traveling to a different city to watch your favorite NFL team play.

As you can see, there are a lot of exciting 2025 travel trends. I can only encourage you to think outside of your usual box and experience something new on this list. That’s what travel is all about, right? Discovering new roads to travel down and new tables to gather around.
