Gorgonzola Cheese Bread

The first time I made this I wasn’t sure if I would like it. I am not a huge Gorgonzola cheese fan but my husband is so I figured how bad can it be. OH MY! The first bite was heaven. I did use my own homemade Italian bread and I have to say I have made it using store bought Italian bread and it was still delish but it was just perfect with the homemade bread. I would suggest that you try at least once making it with homemade bread you will be very happy you did.

Gorgonzola Cheese Bread

1 loaf of Italian bread
1 5oz container of Gorgonzola cheese crumbles
4 cloves of garlic crushed
1 stick of butter (room temp)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Cut the loaf of Italian bread in half.

With an electric mixer in a small bowl combine all of the remaining ingredents and mix until just blended. You should still have some chucks of gorgonzola cheese in the mixture. Spread the mixture on the bread and cook under the broiler in the oven until the cheese is melted and it is a nice golden color. WATCH it carefully while it’s in the oven you don’t want to burn it!!!

This bread goes great with wings!!!

ENJOY!
