2 Must Visit Restaurants in Glenwood Springs, CO

One of the things that I do before I go on vacation is look up local restaurants. I don’t know about you but I hate being in a place that I’m not really familiar with and having to search for a place to eat. I like to have a cheat sheet!

I thought I would share with you my two favorite restaurants while we were in Glenwood Springs, CO.

THE PULLMAN

I am a foodie, that’s not a surprise to those that know me. I love trying new food. The Pullman has a great menu, it’s imaginative and exciting. The atmosphere was great, it was clean, rustic, and hip. I was on the fence about going since we were on a family vacation and I wasn’t sure about bringing my boys. My children probably aren’t like most, they are mini foodies and love eating out. I took a chance and they were warmly welcomed.

After reading some reviews the pierogis with truffle potato and caramelized onions topped with scallion crème fraiche stood out as a MUST! Not only were they AMAZING but the price was AWESOME $12! My oldest couldn’t eat them fast enough!

The Pullman is a MUST TRY!

SLOPE & HATCH

Ok, you know that cheat sheet I mentioned earlier in this post……..well…….Slope & Hatch was not on it. While reading up on restaurants in Glenwood Springs it never came up. WHY NOT???? While walking around in downtown we walked past this small almost hole in the wall restaurant. I saw the word TACO and the board on the side walk spelled out some amazing creations. UMMMM…..How had I not heard of this taco place.

I LOVE TACOS!!!!

Really I can’t tell you how much I love them. I could eat them every day multiple times a day.

Anyway, we stopped in for lunch, I couldn’t pass up a taco shop! OMG! UNBELIEVABLE! The cocktails were great and the taco selection was flipping crazy….SO HARD TO PICK. The also had some pretty unique hot dog creations also.

We loved Slope & Hatch so much that we ended up going back. We ate there twice on vacation. That was a first for me, I have never gone back to the same restaurant on the same trip but it was so good I had to go back.

Slope & Hatch is a MUST TRY!
