With locations on both the East and West sides of Mystic, this market offers a variety of fresh ingredients and local Connecticut flavors . It’s an ideal place to assemble a picnic basket for your vineyard visits.

Spend your afternoon exploring some of the region’s finest vineyards:

1. Saltwater Farm Vineyard

Located on 108 acres in Stonington, Saltwater Farm Vineyard boasts a fully operational vineyard and winery. The vineyard’s unique setting includes a renovated WWII-era airport hangar, adding historical charm to your wine-tasting experience.

2. Kingdom of the Hawk Vineyard

In North Stonington, Kingdom of the Hawk Vineyard offers a contemporary space that honors the agricultural heritage of the area. The vineyard’s dramatic landscape provides a picturesque backdrop as you sample their selection of wines. Kingdom of the Hawk wine is available by the glass or bottle to share. Plus, a rotating selection of CT craft beer and cider. Note they do not offer tastings or flights.

3. Stonington Vineyards

As one of the first wineries on the Connecticut Wine Trail, Stonington Vineyards has a rich history dating back to 1987 . The vineyard offers a welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy their varietals.

Evening: Dinner at The Shipwright’s Daughter

Conclude your day with a memorable dinner at The Shipwright’s Daughter, located in the heart of downtown Mystic. This restaurant has been recognized for its outstanding cuisine, offering a menu that highlights sustainable seafood and seasonal ingredients. Chef David Standridge is a James Beard Chef award Winner! This restuarant is one of my go to spots for date night with my Hubby! If the have the sourdough bread with kelp butter on the menu, order it and you’re welcome in advance! The Shipwright’s Daughter is an ideal setting to reflect on your day’s adventures over a delectable meal.
